Katashi is a rather normal young man who was born and has spent his entire life aboard the colony ship. He is currently still enrolled in mandatory public education aboard the ship, but expects to be finished in a few short years if his grades do not slip too much. Katashi has never had much luck with girls, as he has acquired a bit of a bad reputation (and more than a few slaps) as he is an Accidental Pervert. As a result all of Katashi's friends are male and he has never dated before.
His bad luck with women aside, Katashi is actually a very nice guy. He tries to get along with everyone, is very friendly and can make friends fairly easily. Very good natured, Katashi can even keep his cool when folk pick on him but will not stand by and let folk mistreat others, especially women.
Katashi's bad luck with women really only extends to Humans, Elves and Beasts for the most part. While he does still suffer from his Accidental Pervert problem with CASEALs, their reactions are not always in-line with their counterparts of the other races. However as he does not have regular encounters with too many CASTs (or CASEALs to be specific) in his daily life he is also generally unaware that his treatment of them would likely spark their interest in him. After all Katashi would see no real reason to treat a CAST in anyway differently than anyone else.
As for hobbies and interest, Katashi enjoys watching movies, listening to music, reading novels and playing various interactive games. He enjoys socializing with his friends and would be an active participant in a Genshiken equivalent after-school club.
Katashi very seldom gets to see his parents due to their very busy work schedules. Both his mother and father are involved in CAST R&D and began their relationship after meeting one another on the job. Katashi's father works in hardware while his mother is involved with A.I. development. Due to how busy they both are it is not uncommon for him to go days or even a week or two without seeing either of his parents.
Appearance: Katashi is a rather ordinary looking human. While somewhat handsome or perhaps even cute, it is not to any degree that would make him stand out versus the other human colonists. He has blue eyes and blue short-cut hair and frequently wears his school uniform even on off days.
Powers, Abilities & Useful Skills
MechaPsi ("?"): Katashi has only recently begun developing his Mecha Psionic abilities. This ability had initially manifested as a form of radiant aura that affected CASEALs and some other female Mecha. Affected entities began exhibiting more complex emotional states and in effect this generated a Girl Magnet effect versus CASEALs. Thus far Katashi has been able to contact with numerous different minds of mechanical and artificial origin, some at FTL speeds and at great distance, to induce communication or to relay orders... sometimes even at a subconscious level.
Genius-level Intellect ("?"): Katashi is his parents son after all. While his memory access speeds may not be as quick as those of a machine intelligence, he does have nearly perfect memory retention. Thus far he has really only excelled well academically in subjects that he was either interested in, or which were too easy in his opinion to not ace to just get it over with.

An as of yet undiscovered and un-named Mecha of alien origin.
Appearance
Imagine a ZoE style SDF/Battle 7 giant Mecha. Has wing 'mags'. No need for a penis cockpit as the control bridge can be in the main head. Mecha launchers could exist along the arms & legs as per a SDF model, but with advanced mecha there is no need for old-school runways. The big-ass mecha itself does not transform from its robot/humanoid mode.

Looks like a Mecha-girl/CASEAL version of Kiriko Aoi from Goddanar. Long red very stylish hair, golden eyes, voluptuous. Armor can be withdrawn to reveal softer skin-like humanoid layers beneath. Used to be known as the Red Death.

Looks like a Mecha-girl/CASEAL version of Kan'u Unchou from Battle Vixens. Very combative and fond of polearms. Fully grown former MAG-girl.

A CASEAL Engineering instructor at Katashi's school. Has armored clothing that can compact itself for storage. Tan & Gold coloration, Optimus facemask and short hair helmet.

Looks like Nadeshiko Benibara (Teacher from Shuffle). Busty, long hair, likes wearing civilian clothing.
Angel Sparrow
Genius. Has a nanocolony. Very long green hair that falls partly over one eye normally, busty, soft gray eyes. Was stalking character from birth.
